Now That Benny Hinn Has Confessed, What Next?

Image
It’s been all over the social media that pastor Benny Hinn came out to state his disgust for the prosperity gospel he had been preaching for over thirty years. During the sermon today, the pastor at the church I attended this Sunday referred to Pastor Benny Hinn’s confession. He said he didn’t know what had come over Pastor Hinn. He said that prosperity was biblical and nothing Pastor Hinn said would change that. He didn’t fail to throw one or two bible verses in the mix to show that Pastor Hinn was wrong saying that prosperity was wrong. I also had a talk on Facebook with a friend who stated categorically that Pastor Hinn had confessed being wrong only on a certain aspect of the prosperity doctrine. Hence he agreed that that forcing money out of people’s hand was a wrong practice but still asserted that prosperity teaching overall was still biblical. The teaching had been abused but was still biblical as God takes pleasure in the prosperity of his children. Many years ago, Pasto

Is Benny Hinn’s Repentance Genuine or is it just Another Publicity Stunt?

For a week or so now, the news has been abuzz with the information of pastor Benny Hinn’s confession. Hinn who has been a prosperity preacher for all his life came out refuting some of the beliefs and practices he had heretofore held on to. It’s worth noticing that pastor has for very many years been the poster boy for the word of faith and prosperity gospel movement making hundreds of millions of dollars yearly from gifts and donations, travelling around the world in a private aircraft, putting up in expensive hotels, wearing expensive clothing and dining at expensive restaurants. Pastor Benny has severally threatened those who opposed his prosperity preaching and luxurious lifestyle with death. He once told his television audience that he wished there was a bible verse that authorized him to kill his detractors. He further said that he had looked for such a verse but couldn’t find it. Hence it came as a surprise that Uncle Benny, as he’s affectionately called by his nephew Costi,

Benny Hinn Confesses He’s Been Preaching a False Gospel, “I’m Correcting My Theology."

6. A while back, Reformation Charlotte reported that Joyce Meyer, the notorious false prophetess who preaches a prosperity gospel had   admitted that she’d been preaching a false gospel   for a long time. In a shocking a video, Benny Hinn admitted that he’s been preaching a false prosperity gospel, that giving money and sowing seeds is a false gospel and an affront to the gospel, and that he wouldn’t be doing it any longer. His nephew, Costi Hinn, came out against him a while back and started teaching against the false teachings of his uncle, Benny. Benny now says that the false gospel he’s been preaching makes him “sick to his stomach,” and that he’s “done with it.” “The Gospel is not for sale, the blessings of God are not for sale, miracles are not for sale, and prosperity is not for sale.” Does he actually mean this? We will see. But if he does, it’s time for him to step down and sit under the preaching of the true gospel.
